GAMBARAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN KELUARGA PASIEN SAAT MENUNGGU ANAK YANG DIRAWAT DI RUANG PICU RSUP DR KARIADI TAHUN 2022

ediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) merupakan ruang perawatan untuk anak dengan kondisi
kritis. Keluarga atau orang tua pasien merupakan bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari
perawatan pasien anak. Orangtua pasien juga dihadapkan pada berbagai masalah ketika harus
mendampingi anaknya selama dirawat. Masalah tersebut akan menimbulkan dampak
psikologis orang tua yaitu rasa cemas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran
karakteristik dan tingkat kecemasan keluarga saat menunggu anak yang dirawat di ruang PICU.
Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden
40. Instrument yang digunakan adalah kuesioner tentang tingkatan kecemasan Hamilton
Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Penelitian mendapatkan data yang menunjukkan bahwa 97,5%
keluarga pasien mengalami kecemasan dengan tingkat kecemasan yang berbeda : 2,5%
mengalami cemas ringan, 7,5% mengalami cemas sedang, 17,5% cemas berat dan 72,5% cemas
berat sekali. Mayoritas keluarga pasien berada dalam kategori cemas berat sekali. Tenaga
kesehatan yang bertugas perlu melakukan melakukan intervensi khusus untuk menurunkan
tingkat kecemasan keluarga. Pendekatan pelayanan berpusat pada keluarga mungkin bisa
diambil sebagai salah satu solusi menurunkan tingkat kecemasan.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is an intensive ward for children with critical conditions.
The patient's family or parents are an integral part of child patient care. Parents of patients are
also faced with various problems when they have to accompany their children during
treatment. This problem will have a psychological impact on parents, namely anxiety. This
study aims to describe the characteristics and levels of family anxiety while waiting for children
to be treated in the PICU room. This study used a quantitative descriptive research design with
40 respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire about anxiety levels on the Hamilton
Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The study obtained data showing that 97.5% of the patient's
family experienced anxiety with different levels of anxiety: 2.5% experienced mild anxiety,
7.5% experienced moderate anxiety, 17.5% severe anxiety and 72.5% very severe anxiety . The
majority of the patient's family is in the very severe anxiety category. Health workers on duty
need to carry out special interventions to reduce the level of family anxiety. A family-centered
care approach might be taken as a solution to reduce anxiety levels.
