Penggunaan Safety-Enginereed Device di Rumah Sakit (Kajian Literatur)

Abstract

Kejadian needle stick injury menjadi masalah yang serius dalam bidang pekerjaan kesehatan dan menjadi persoalan keselamatan kerja yang harus dihadapi oleh tenaga kesehatan pada umumnya.  Insiden cedera karena tertusuk jarum dengan tidak sengaja atau yang biasa disebut needle stick injury tersebut merupakan salah satu permasalahan keselamatan kerja di rumah sakit yang paling sering dilaporkan serta berdampak sangat serius dan nyata. Salah satunya dapat meningkatkan resiko pajanan virus berbahaya ataupun penyakit yang menular hingga kematian, sehingga rumah sakit banyak menanggung kerugian karena insiden tersebut. Dalam rangka mengurangi angka kejadian needle stick injury terciptalah gagasan baru berupa penerapan perangkat yang dipercaya menjadi sebuah solusi bagi tenaga kesehatan untuk meminimalisir terjadinya needle stick injury di rumah sakit. Berdasarkan 5 literatur didapatkan bahwa penggunaan safety-enginereed device terbukti efektif untuk mengurangi angka kejadian needle stick injury di rumah sakit. Dalam mendukung penerapan safety-enginereed device berjalan efektif di rumah sakit dibutuhkan sikap disiplin dan ketelitian yang tinggi setiap petugas kesehatan dirumah sakit dan pedoman penggunaan serta sosialisasi penggunan dari safety-enginereed device tersebut. Efektifnya penggunaan safety-enginereed device dalam menurunkan insiden needle stick injury di rumah sakit, juga dapat menurunkan angka risiko terjadinya paparan infeksi dari pasien ke petugas medis.
