Gambaran kompetensi spiritual perawat

Kompetensi perawatan spiritual merupakan penerapan pengetahuan, kemampuan dan keterampilan dalam memberikan perawatan spiritual pada pasien. Kompetensi perawatan spiritual dibutuhkan agar perawat mampu memberikan intervensi yang dapat merespon kebutuhan jiwa, harga diri, dan dukungan iman sehingga mempercepat proses penyembuhan penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kompetensi perawat dalam memberikan perawatan spirtitual pada pasien. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Teknik sampling penelitian ini menggunakan non random sampling dengan jumlah perawat sebanyak 238 perawat. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner Nurses’ Professional Competence in Spiritual Care yang berjumlah 38 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kompetensi perawat dalam memberikan perawatan spiritual dengan skor rerata 114.15 pada rentang skor minimal 38 sampai maksimal 152. Item pernyataan yang perlu ditingkatkan pada pernyataan terkait dengan pengkajian dan implementasi perawat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sipiritual. Pada pernyataan terkait karakter /nilai merupakan hal yang sudah baik sebesar sebesar 93,3 %. Diharapkan profesi keperawatan, pihak rumah sakit, institusi pendidikan dan penelitian selanjutnya dapat berperan serta untuk meningkatkan kompetensi perawat dalam perawatan spiritual. Pihak rumah sakit dapat menerapkan kebijakan standar operasional pelaksanaan perawatan spiritual oleh perawat dan tim multidisiplin lainnya.References
