PENGARUH PEMBERIAN TEH BAWANG DAYAK TERHADAP PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI

Abstract

Background: The number of people at risk aged >18 years who took blood pressure measurements was 36.53%. From the results of blood pressure measurements, as many as 12.98% were declared hypertensive. Giving dayak onion tea is one form of non-pharmacological treatment that can overcome the decrease in blood pressure in people with hypertension. Objective: To determine the effect of dayak onion tea on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Research Methods: This study uses a type of experimental research with a One-Group Pretest-Postest Design research design. Sampling using a total sampling technique with 14 respondents. The normality test uses Shapiro Wilk and data analysis uses the Wilcoxon test. Results: Shapiro-Wilk normality test results obtained for systole blood pressure before and after treatment obtained a significance value of p (0.001) and for the results of diastolic blood pressure before and after treatment obtained a significance value of p (0.002). Wilcoxon test results, obtained pre-test and post-test has a significant value of 0,000 where p <0.050 so that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Conclusion: There is an effect of Dayak onion tea on reducing blood pressure in people with hypertension.
