Stroke is the leading cause of long-term adult disability and the number five cause of death. Stroke cannot be completely cured, but when handled properly it can minimize disability, reducing dependence on activities. The involvement of the family in the program at home will provide excellent benefits. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family support to control adherence in stroke patients. This research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional research design. This research was conducted at the Regular Polyclinic of PON Jakarta Hospital in 2022. The total population in this study was 1267 patients with a total sample of 101 and accidental sampling techniques. The tools used in this study were questionnaires and observation sheets. The data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test. The results showed that most respondents had good family support as many as 62 (61.4%) respondents and had a control compliance rate in the compliance category as many as 75 (74.3%) respondents. The chi square test results show that the p value is 0.001 (p ≤ 0.05), then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. An OR value of 4.5 which means good family support is 4.5 times more likely to have better control compliance. It can be concluded that there is a relationship of family support with control compliance in stroke patients. It is hoped that families can realize the importance of family support to increase patient motivation for control.
