THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRESS IN PANDEMIC TIMES WITH COVID-19 PREVENTION BEHAVIOR ON NURSES IN RSUD DR. MOEWARDI

Pandemi covid-19, membuat resah masyarakat, karena jatuhnya banyak korban serta belum ditemukan vaksin atau
pengobatannya. Lonjakan korban mengakibatkan tenaga kesehatan bersiap untuk menyelamatkan sebanyak-
banyaknya nyawa. Tenaga kesehatan termasuk perawat mempunyai beban berat terkait resiko penularan, stigma
masyarakat serta tekanan dari diri sendiri ataupun lingkungan. Hal ini mengakibatkan perawat menjadi rawan
terhadap kecemasan bahkan stress. Langkah pencegahan yang dilakukan adalah dengan mencuci tangan dengan
sabun, menghindari menyentuh wajah, menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin, menghindari keramaian, tetap dirumah,
cek kesehatan serta menggunakan masker. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara stress di masa
pandemi Covid-19 dengan perilaku pencegahan Covid 19 pada perawat RSUD Dr. Moewardi, Surakarta.
Metodepenelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, desain cross-sectional mengenai stress perawat dengan perilaku pencegahan
Covid-19. Jumlah populasi adalah 100 perawat dan dengan jumlah sampel 81. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan
kuesioner melalui google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara stress di masa pandemi dengan
perilaku pencegahan Covid-19 pada perawat di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, dibuktikan dari uji statistik
menunjukkan bahwa p value < 0.000. Hasil penelitian tersebut maka perawat seharusnya dapat mengelola stress
dengan baik sehingga dapat memiliki perilaku positif dalam pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 serta institusi
pendidikan dapat menciptakan pedoman dalam pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made people worried, because there have been many victims and no vaccine or
treatment has been found. Increase of the victims resulting health workers prepared to save as many lives as
possible. Health workers including nurses have a burden related to the risk of transmission, community stigma and
pressure from themselves or the environment. This causes nurses to be prone to anxiety and even stress. The
preventive that have been done were washing hands with soap, avoiding touch the face, applying cough and sneeze
etiquette, avoiding crowds, staying at home, checking of health and using masks. The purpose of this study was to
determine the relationship between stress during the Covid-19 pandemic and Covid-19 prevention behavior of
nurses in RSUD Dr. Moewardi, Surakarta. This research method was a quantitative with cross-sectional design
regarding nurse stress with Covid-19 prevention behavior. The total population was 100 nurses with 81 samples.
Data collection was done by using a questionnaire via google form. The results showed that there is a relationship
between stress during the pandemic and Covid-19 prevention behavior in nurses at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta,
evidenced from statistical tests showed that p value < 0.000. The results of this study explain that nurses should be
able to manage stress well so that they can have positive behavior in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and
educational institutions can create guidelines in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
