HUBUNGAN KARAKTERISTIK UMUR, JENIS KELAMIN, PENGETAHUAN TENTANG HIV/AIDS DENGAN PERILAKU BERPACARAN PADA REMAJA DI PROVINSI JAWA BARAT
Abstract
The numbers of infected adolescents by HIV/AIDS is getting higher recently, around 3.2 –
3.8% per year, majority due to sexual activity. Sexual intercourse among adolescents is an
expression of sexual arousal that indicates the maturity of two genders’ type; which begins
with actions or activities and physical contact in dating behavior. Last decades, the economic
developments and mass media have influenced adolescents' behavior and perceptions of risky
sexual activities, especially when they are dating. The purpose of this study was to examine
the factors of knowledge about HIV, gender and, age that are most associated with dating
behavior in adolescents in West Java. This study deployed secondary data sources derived
from the 2018 Youth Population, Family Planning and Family Development Program
Performance and Accountability Survey. The survey’s sample at the province of West Java
was conducted on 4692 female and male adolescent respondents with an age limit of 15–24
years. The sample unit used in the analysis of all unmarried women and men in this study was
500 respondents. This research used descriptive quantitative research method with
correlational research design using secondary data analysis. The time of data collection and
research was carried out in December 2021. The data in the study were normally distributed,
so the Chi-Square correlation test was carried out, then multivariate analysis was carried out
using logistic regression statistical tests. The results of the chi-square analysis showed that
there was a significant relationship between knowledge about HIV/AIDS and a small part of
the sub- variables of dating behavior. Knowledge of HIV/AIDS was the variable that is most
closely related to the variable of dating behavior. Suggestions, there’s a need further research
regarding the factors that influence risky dating behavior in adolescents using primary data.

Jumlah remaja yang tertular HIV/AIDS saat ini semakin meningkat, berkisar 3,2 – 3,8% per
tahun, sebagian besar disebabkan oleh aktivitas seksual. Hubungan seksual pada remaja
merupakan ekspresi gairah seksual yang menunjukkan kematangan tipe dua gender; yang
diawali dengan tindakan atau aktivitas dan kontak fisik dalam perilaku berpacaran. Beberapa
dekade terakhir, perkembangan ekonomi dan media massa telah mempengaruhi perilaku dan
persepsi remaja terhadap aktivitas seksual berisiko, terutama saat mereka sedang berkencan.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor pengetahuan tentang HIV, jenis kelamin
dan, usia yang paling berhubungan dengan perilaku pacaran pada remaja di Jawa Barat.

Penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data sekunder yang berasal dari Survei Kinerja dan
Akuntabilitas Program Kependudukan Remaja, Keluarga Berencana dan Pembangunan
Keluarga Tahun 2018. Sampel survei di Provinsi Jawa Barat dilakukan terhadap 4.692
responden remaja perempuan dan laki-laki dengan batasan usia 15–24 tahun. Unit sampel
yang digunakan dalam analisis seluruh perempuan dan laki-laki belum menikah dalam
penelitian ini adalah 500 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif
kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional menggunakan analisis data sekunder. Waktu
pengumpulan data dan penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2021. Data dalam
penelitian berdistribusi normal, sehingga dilakukan uji korelasi Chi-Square, kemudian
dilakukan analisis multivariat dengan menggunakan uji statistik regresi logistik. Hasil analisis
chi-square menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan tentang
HIV/AIDS dengan sebagian kecil sub variabel perilaku pacaran. Pengetahuan tentang
HIV/AIDS merupakan variabel yang paling erat hubungannya dengan variabel perilaku
berpacaran. Saran, perlu adanya penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai faktor-faktor yang
mempengaruhi perilaku pacaran berisiko pada remaja dengan menggunakan data primer.
